Moog Sirin & Minitaur Duet

Moog Sirin & Minitaur Duet

Thought this would be a cool sound to try out with a live performance video. The Moog Minitaur was the first synthesizer I owned. When I got a Moog Sirin I thought of trying to create paraphonic sound by sending midi to both from the M-Audio midisport 4×4 interface and recording the audio. This combination created a really awesome harmonizing sound that could be modulated or tweaked. In addition I patched up my Grandmother with the semi-modular trio Moog DFAM, Subharmonicon, and Mother-32 then midi synched with Ableton Live 10. Hope you enjoy this duet as much as I do, check out some of my other videos here!

Atlas- Moog Sirin & Minitaur Duet

Moog Synthesizer Quintet

Setup the 3-tier rack for the Moog Mother-32, Subharmonicon, and DFAM. Thought I’d make a video of my first patch with all of them linked together in their new home. Included the Minitaur for some solid bass and the Grandmother for the sweet lead line. A lot of fun for my first recording, can’t wait to make more with this improved setup.

Beat Repeat Rack

Check out the new Atlas – Beat Repeat Rack this is an Ableton Live Audio Effects Rack configured with Beat Repeat. I used this rack in countless live shows to created glitch sounds and loops. I hope you enjoy this new tool in your kit!

Moog Paul Vo Guitar

I’ve wanted to make a video with the Moog Paul Vo Guitar for awhile now. Thought today would be good to test out the shots with some improv in A Harmonic Minor and the new Moogerfoogers I got last week. Let me know if you liked this and want to see more!

Moog Synthesizer Quartet

I’ve always wanted to record an entire song with my Moog synthesizers and today was the day. Woke up early to setup the Mother-32, Subharmonicon, and DFAM when the light was just coming through my windows. Now that it’s winter there’s only a few hours of the day were I get enough light to film. Once I got those recorded I brought in the Grandmother to complete the sound, couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

Carolina Mantis

Sunday meditation with sesni. Over the last couple of years we’ve placed Praying Mantis eggs around the yard. This looks like one Carolina Mantis that has really prospered since then. Looking at my Bell Pepper plant, I notice this beautiful specimen sitting on the leaf. I quickly grabbed my Canon camera for some quick shots. Usually mantises are quite active and move around a lot, but this one seemed to be very comfortable on the plant. Noticing this behavior, I setup my tripod to spend the evening capturing close up macro shots of this magnificient Praying Mantis.
